IMPORTANT: COVID Update for CPC - August 4

August 4, 2021

Dear CPC family,

Today, we learned that a middle school student and staff member on the recent Hume Lake trip have tested positive for COVID-19. They are experiencing mild symptoms and are resting at home. All other CPC staff and volunteers who were on the trip have tested negative, and all other students are being encouraged to get a PCR test as soon as possible. We have been following COVID protocols and are doing our due diligence to ensure everyone who may have been in contact have been informed.

The staff member who tested positive attended the 11:00AM service this past Sunday, August 1. Out of an abundance of caution, we are postponing Student Ministry Sunday and cancelling the 11:00AM service this coming Sunday, August 8. Instead, we will only have one in-person service at 9:30AM and Pastor Luke will share God’s word with us.

If you attended the 11:00AM service last Sunday, August 1, we encourage you to watch for any symptoms of COVID-19 and consult your doctor if needed. We ask that you either get a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending church this coming Sunday, or join us online in worshiping from home.

In accordance with Monterey County and the CDC's recommendation, we strongly encourage everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask inside the sanctuary this Sunday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we seek to care for and lead our CPC family!
