All high school students are welcome to join us as we journey and wrestle and grow together. Explore what it means to be loved, love God and love others. We worship, we laugh, we cry, we heal, we doubt, we pray, we serve. We learn what it means to follow Jesus today and then we try to live it out at school, at home, with our family and our friends and even our enemies.

If you are interested in checking it out, we meet on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM in the CPC Sanctuary and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. In addition we have weekly small groups, opportunities to serve, missions trips and other epic adventures throughout the year. Check those out below!

We are heading back to Lake Shasta (AKA Shasta Lake)!  As usual, each houseboat will be staffed by a Sonshine Ministries driver and a support crew member.  Additionally, each houseboat will have one male and one female CPC leader.  There will be plenty of time to hang with friends, play games, relax and swim.  Also, all students will have an opportunity to wakeboard, water-ski, kneeboard and banana-boat several times during the week. Do it all or just kick back and relax – it’s up to you.  There will also be some down time to pray, hear about Jesus and discuss life. Nothing is forced – again, it’s up to you.  Evenings will include a large group gathering with a time of teaching and music followed by a small group discussion.  Mornings will offer quiet time set aside for reflecting, reading and journaling.  This trip represents a great balance of fun with friends and beautiful times to experience God.  If you decide to take the plunge you will meet new friends and share in an amazing adventure on water.  We hope you decide to join us!  Sound good?  Keep reading, gather info, print required forms and reserve your spot for the trip.


When:  Monday, July 13th– Saturday, July 18th, 2020 (leave at 8 AM and return around 6 PM).


Where:Lake Shasta ~ transportation provided.


Who:  All High School students including incoming freshmen and graduating seniors.


Cost:  $550 – Cash or checks made payable to CPC or pay online. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at time of sign-up and the final balance of $450 is due March 25th. If finances are keeping you from coming on this trip please inquire about financial assistance. (Also, we do ask students to bring a few bucks for lunch on the drive up and back.)


Space: There are a limited number of spots for this trip. The first 85 students to sign-up will be guaranteed a spot. After that we will start a waiting list. Given the popularity of this trip please don’t wait to sign-up!  First come, first served!


Sign-up:   To reserve your spot, you must turn in a $100 non-refundable deposit to the church.  In addition to a deposit, there are 4 forms (1 from CPC and 3 from the houseboat company) that need to be completed. Your spot will not be reserved if we do not have both the forms and the payment.  


Once the clock strikes 7pm on January 22nd, please follow the steps below:


Step 1:  

Download and complete the CPC Waiver and the Sonshine forms attached below.

-Sonshine Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement

-Sonshine Registration and Medical Consent Form – a parent or guardian is required to sign this in two places regardless of what you check or don’t check in these sections.  If you check the box “requesting that my child wear a personal floatation device at all times (e.g. swimming) when in the water” you should be aware that this will include 100% of times in the water.  Please know that all students are required to wear a personal floatation device when wakeboarding, water skiing or banana boating and nothing needs to be checked for this to happen.


Lastly, please make sure each page prints clearly and all wording is legible.  No pictures of forms will be accepted this year.  We need them in hard copy or scanned and emailed. If you make a mistake please start over – for instance no cross-outs with initials or using white-out.  Sorry for the novel, but these forms cause lots of extra work for you guys and us every year. 


You will know you’ve done it right if you have 4 forms and 5 parent signatures.


Step 2:  

Make your non-refundable deposit payment.

$100 is due at time of sign-up. The final $450 is due March 25th.  Save the hassle and pay the full amount up front if you prefer.  There is a Buy Now button on the website for those who would like to pay online with a credit card or debit card.  Please email luke@carmelpres.org to confirm payment was received and to make sure you are on the official list.  Also, we accept cash or checks made payable to CPC.  Why are all deposits and payments non-refundable?  Because when students bail out the church is left to cover the costs.  Thanks for understanding.


Step 3:  

Turn everything in.

Drop off your deposit check or cash and 4 waiver forms at the church (Ocean Ave. and Junipero Ave.) beginning January 9th.  If you prefer you can mail the deposit and forms to CPC, Attn. Luke Barnes, PO Box 846, Carmel, CA 93921.  Students will be added to the official list in the order we receive forms and payment in hand.
