COVID-19 Update

Due to the Monterey County directive to shelter-in-place, our leadership has made some decisions.

  • Until further notice, CPC is not hosting or encouraging any physical gatherings.

    • Join us Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00am for worship services posted on Facebook, Youtube, and the front page of CPC’s website! Watch as a family or video chat some friends and encourage one another to stay connected!

The heart of Women’s Ministry is to encourage women as they discover the truth about Jesus Christ and grow in awareness of God’s love and power in their lives.

A few ways women can connect are the following:

Women in

the Word

WITW is a weekly women's group who's goal is to fellowship, study, and encourage one another in faith.

Spring Zoom Study

Women in the Word will begin a spring Zoom study on Thursday morning, March 18th at 9:30 am in 1 & 2 Thessalonians by one of the world’s leading New Testament scholars, N. T. Wright.

Often, first impressions stick with us. Paul's first impression of the Thessalonian Christians was an especially powerful one as the gospel he preached grasped their hearts and minds as well as transforming their lives. That memory moved Paul to write to the young church that was bubbling with a sense of the power of the living God.  The study includes thoughtful questions, prayer suggestions, and useful background and cultural information.

The study guide may be purchased for $9.99 (plus tax, free shipping) with Amazon Prime by clicking 1 & 2 Thessalonians Study at Amazon.  Or you can purchase the guide for $7.99 (plus tax and shipping) by clicking 1 & 2 Thessalonians Study at christianbook.com

If you’re already in a WITW group – you will continue with that group for the spring study.  If you would like to join a group or have questions, please contact Paige Roetter at paigeroetter@pjdesign.com

Now That Faith Has Come: A Study of Galatians

by Beth & Melissa Moore

Although Paul didn’t plan to go to Galatia, God used a physical ailment to direct him there to carry the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to them.  Eventually his determination for the truth of the gospel to be preserved among them led to one of the most passionate letters in the New Testament. Paul reminded the church in Galatia that they had been set free by Christ’s glorious gospel as well as calling believers to stand firm in the truth, stay bold in love, and walk by the Spirit. He reminded them what it looked like to live for God’s approval rather than human approval. The eternal words God entrusted to Paul for the churches of Galatia are as needed today as they were when the ink was still wet on the ancient pages!

Please join us on Tuesday, April 20 at 9:30AM for the 6-week DVD-assisted study in the Friendship Hall at CPC.  Purchase your study guide through Amazon or Living Proof Ministries
