There is power in prayer!

-Healing Prayer-

“Jesus was going through the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.” Mark 9:35

“When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.” Luke 4:40

“Departing they(Jesus’ followers)began going throughout the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.” Luke 9:6

“(Jesus said) I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.  He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12

“Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14

Our Healing Prayer Team is available to come and pray with you or meet you at church for a time of prayer for healing.

  • We believe the bible is our final authority on how, why and to whom we pray

  • We are not trained counselors and so we don’t do that.  We do ask the Lord to give us understanding so that we can pray for you with godly wisdom. We encourage you to ask questions or make comments as we proceed in prayer, so that we all have a more clear understanding of how to pray for you.

  • Laying on of hands is a biblical form of ministering to the person being prayed for (usually on the shoulder, head, etc). We will ask you before we ‘lay hands’ on you. You may decline if you do not want to be touched.

  • Though some prayers for healing may be answered immediately, still others happen over time or after several times of being prayed for. Don’t be discouraged if nothing dramatic happens right away.  It’s the Lord Jesus Christ who is our healer and how He chooses to accomplish that healing varies.

  • During prayer time, if there is anything you don’t understand or agree with, please ask a team member to explain what was intended.

  • Be assured that what you share with us will be kept in strict confidence.

  • Keep in mind that it’s not the one who prays who is the healer, it’s Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, who heals.

  • One symbol of the Holy Spirit that might be used while praying for you is to apply a tiny amount of oil on your forehead, hands, feet, etc.  The oil itself doesn’t have any power. It’s a visible expression of the Holy Spirit.

  • You might want to pray out loud during your prayer session. Feel free to do so. The Lord loves you and you can trust Him with your thoughts and words.

  • We are available to pray with you for any type of healing you might need, physical, emotional, relational, etc.
