MISSIONS

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations."

- Matthew 28:19a

Missions Committee

Our Mission and Vision

To make disciples and grow Christ-like followers of Jesus, by effectively supporting and partnering with mission organizations and missionaries to share the Gospel and the love of Christ beyond our local community.

Our Areas of Support
CHURCH
Planting

Church planting is one of the primary goals of CPC and ECO (our Presbyterian denomination). Therefore, the CPC mission committee has placed an emphasis on supporting missionaries and mission agencies that are focused on building God's kingdom via indigenous/local preachers who are devoted to church planting.

SERVING
Others

Jesus called us to serve one another and CPC has always strived to do that.  We are blessed to support missionaries that are serving others with their work in healthcare, education, inner-city outreach, rescue and relief, orphanages, and through the translation of the Word of God.

DISCIPLESHIP & TRAINING

In support of our goal of planting churches, we believe that we must be at the forefront of supporting leaders who are capable of discipling and training future leaders to serve in a similar capacity.

SHORT-TERM MISSIONS TRIPS

We encourage and seek opportunities to support congregation members to experience short-term mission trips that have a strong spiritual component, by providing one-time scholarships based on individual requests.

UKRAINE MISSION PARTNER UPDATES

JUNE 29, 2022 UPDATE

Thank you for your ongoing giving to CPC mission partners serving in Ukraine and the surrounding area. GDI, Cru, and E3 have been on the ground with the Gospel and humanitarian aid for refugees and those who have stayed in the country. As a church you have been part of standing in the G.A.P. (Give, Act, Pray) during the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The latest update from our partners with E3, Igor and Lena Y., is that although the seminary was largely destroyed by bombing, they are beginning to rebuild. Cleaning the seminary building has begun and temporary roofing has been put up to protect the undamaged rooms. Lena prepares food for the builders, while Igor preaches at the church and partners with ministries to distribute humanitarian aid.

If you would like to participate in helping those in need in Ukraine and helping the seminary rebuild, click here: https://www.purecharity.com/fundraisers/6920/fund

Here are their prayer requests:

  • That God will end the war as soon as possible.

  • That many people will turn to God through these difficulties.

  • That the Lord will protect us and give us strength and wisdom for His service.

“Pray constantly, give thanks in everything” (1Thes.5:17-18)." Please join us in constant prayer for our Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine, Russia, and the surrounding nations.

CRU Missionaries Serving Ukraine

Our supported missionaries, Jim & Debbie Samland, serving with CRU Faculty Commons, report to us that CRU has many staff members in Ukraine, and more in Hungary, aiding in the humanitarian effort. They deliver aid, playing sermons on the vehicles' sound systems for their passengers, who have come to them in desperation. Jim and Debbie recently came from Eastern Europe and continue to have ministry partners in the region. CRU staff are part of ongoing work to refugees and evacuees, through providing aid and the hope of Christ.

Global
Discipleship Initiative

Global Discipleship Initiatives in Romania and Ukraine is involved with the refugee relief fund particularly for Romania, in connection with their partner Igor F. Thank you for partnering with this relief to support the refugee crisis!
