Hi CPC Family,
I want to give you a little update on our year-end efforts to raise over $300,000 in just a few short weeks to reach our financial goal for year-end 2021. I wanted to make sure you knew, by God’s grace and your generosity, we made this goal and, in fact, exceeded it by a small amount.
As we give thanks to the Lord, I also wanted to say thank you so much!
Hitting this goal is important because it gives our session and church leadership the confidence we are moving in the right direction to support our ministries to youth, children, adults, our missionaries and partners, and pursue our unfilled staff positions. Perhaps we may even ponder expanding some of our ways to reach the world for Christ.
Additionally, this is an opportunity to reflect on what God is doing in us and to remind us to consider our capacity for giving and the way he wants us to respond. As the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” I see this spirit in our CPC family. Let’s keep it going!
Let’s keep turning our hearts to God, resulting in us being generous givers of our time, talent and treasure. God is the owner of everything already and we have the pleasure and privilege of giving back a portion of what he has given us.
