Dear CPC family,
We just heard news from Governor Newsom that all indoor worship services must cease for an undetermined amount of time. Please join us for online-only worship services at 9:30am and 11:00am on July 19 and July 26. It is possible that our worship services will be online-only for the foreseeable future and we will continue to monitor the situation.
That being said, we are actively researching outdoor worship service options that would satisfy the latest guidelines.
Governor Newsom's order also means that we must change the time and place of the called congregational meeting scheduled for this coming Sunday, July 19.
Same Date: Sunday, July 19, 2020
New time: 1:00 pm (to allow time for online worship)
Change in location: Outdoors on the patio (masks and social distancing will be required)
This meeting must be in-person to vote on amending CPC Bylaws to allow Electronic Meetings so we can hold our July 26 congregational meeting via Zoom. If you are a Covenant Partner, and had planned to come to the in-person worship services, please consider attending this outdoor meeting. All Eventbrite worship registrations for this Sunday are cancelled and in its place is an Eventbrite registration for the Congregational Meeting this Sunday at 1pm. For those who had planned to remain at home, please know that you are not required to attend this meeting. It will be a brief meeting, but we do plan to include a short time of singing outdoors.
I know it may not look like it, but the LORD is in control and He still is “at our right hand” (Psalm 16). God is not far from us and He will carry us through!
