CPC Reopening Update - February 8
February 8, 2021
Dear CPC family, The recent Supreme Court decision allowing California churches to worship indoors (with limitations) means some of our brothers and sisters in Christ will choose this as their best option moving forward. At this time, the Church Reopening Team believes meeting outdoors remains the best option for CPC as we continue to prayerfully follow our Five Guiding Principles (see below). Speaking highly of others continues to be an important value of ours and we sincerely pray for other leaders as they make decisions regarding their unique congregations and contexts. We are so excited that this week we are able to restart outdoor ministries to children (K-5), middle school, high school and college. We are actively working towards the next step of welcoming back pre-K (ages 3-4) for Sunday school in the near future. We look forward to the day when we can safely gather indoors again without any limitations and see encouraging signs for CPC and all churches as we progress through 2021. Meanwhile, we continue to praise God for his faithfulness in bringing us together to worship and sing each week, whether on our beautiful patio or online. The health and safety of our church family and guests is the utmost importance.
Decisions will be made with great faith in King Jesus who is in control of our church and our lives.
We will follow federal, state and local guidelines as requested by governmental authorities and medical professionals.
Being a good neighbor involves helping those suffering during this quarantine as well as following health guidelines to protect the broader community.
We will strive to speak highly of other churches and Christians even when we differ on decisions related to COVID-19.
