Women in the Word

JOB

Women in the Word (WITW) will study the book of Job this fall.  Job is a righteous man who experiences financial, emotional, physical and spiritual suffering.  We will wrestle with different emotions such as depression, anger and confusion.  We will discuss the consequences of unrepented sin, living in a fallen world, and how God builds our character.  Finally, we will discuss several important questions related to unmerited misery:

- Why do the righteous suffer?

- What has caused suffering to occur in our lives?

- Is there a purpose in the suffering?

- Is it okay to question God when we encounter undeserved suffering?

WITW will kick-off the season with a luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in Friendship Hall.  Beginning October 10th, we meet on Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am to discuss the lessons.  The study is open to women of all ages and any level of Bible knowledge!

Fall Study begins October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. (luncheon)

and then October 10th from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
